Golden Goose Superstar Sneakers to Step Up Your Game

I’ve been hooked on Golden Goose Deluxe Brand for a while. They were founded in 2000 after the collaboration between Francesca Rinaldo and Alessandro Gallo in Italy. Over the years, they have become a huge designer brand with boutiques in multiple countries, and it’s one that style enthusiasts really love.

I’ve kept an eye on Golden Goose for some time and I would often browse the selection at FarFetch, as they always had an amazing selection, but I never ended up getting any because I always felt the price was too high and resembled Converse too much, so they were always on my mental wishlist. A couple of years ago, Adam was the one who was the early fan and he actually got his first pair of their Superstar sneakers last year, which was what made me pay more attention. After checking out his pair and realizing the uniqueness of each pair because they’re crafted by hand in Italy, I was totally into it. As the Golden Goose Superstar sneakers are pre-distressed and made to appear vintage, they are all hand done so there’s no two pairs alike. Some have heavier wear than others, so the variation is wide.

If you’re choosing in person, it might be a good idea to ask to see a few of the same shoe and pick from them, but if you’re ordering online, you have to trust the surprise!The pair of sneakers that I was first obsessed with are the ones above in the main image, as they’ve been on the market forever, but I never ended up purchasing them.

How are they vs. other brands?

These are the best sneakers I own.

I wear Vejas and Tretons too, but Golden Goose still come out on top.

Also, they’re handmade in small batches, so each pair is custom-feeling.

Would you buy again?

Absolutely! But I’d recommend waiting for a sale.

They cost a lot, so getting them discounted is worth it.

Still, I think they’re worth a few hundred bucks, especially if you pick something you’ll wear a lot.

I went bold with sparkle, but a minimalist version would also look great.
